Pricing
How much is Inkdesk? $50 per shop per month. Stripe processing fees apply on card deposits and charges as usual.
Is the API extra? No separate API SKU in the published shop price—/api/v1 and webhooks are part of the platform.
Booking and deposits
Do clients need accounts? No staff-style accounts; they use your book page/widget and OTP when required.
Can we require deposits? Yes—flat or percent of quote via Stripe Connect, with practical card floors around $20+.
Where does deposit money go? To the shop’s Stripe Connect account.
Website installs
Open Settings → Website & embed → Connect. WordPress: Download plugin + Generate connect code. Shopify/Wix: Add to… or Create snippet. Squarespace/Webflow/Custom site: Create snippet. No website: Create hosted link + QR.
Step 1 · Where should clients book?
One platform at a time. Progress: Choose → Configure → Go live.
Can we use only Instagram? Yes—hosted /{salon}/book in the bio is enough to start.
Aftercare on our site? Yes—paste the Aftercare page embed (iframe with theme=dark|light) from Go live or Aftercare → Embed. WordPress: [inkdesk_aftercare theme="dark"]. Always match theme to the host site.
Piercing
Does Inkdesk support piercing? Yes. Turn piercing_enabled on in Settings. Same tenant: piercing catalog, jewelry, walk-in booking, guardian consent, and aftercare sequences beside tattoo.
Are intimate piercings on by default? No. That category is salon opt-in, 18+ in code, and never shown on public marketing pages.
Staff and calendar
How do staff sign in? Google or email and password. No email or SMS confirmation code.
Google Calendar? Optional outbound push plus periodic busy pull; configure availability in Inkdesk—do not treat Google as the only source of truth.
Automations
Zapier/Make: use Inkdesk webhooks with signature verification. Custom apps: OpenAPI at /api/v1/openapi.
