Studios pierce lobes on teens every week. Inkdesk captures guardian identity and signature on the consent record (PII, RLS, not public). Minimum age per type is salon-configurable. Nipple and intimate piercings are 18+ in code regardless of consent.
Configurable policy, hard safety rails
Each piercing type has min age and minor-eligible flags. The salon sets guardian_required_under_age. Copy states the studio is responsible for local law — Inkdesk does not encode state statutes.
adults_only types (nipple, intimate) cannot be booked for anyone under 18, even with a guardian. ID keys live on the consent row next to the existing waiver PDF.

Does Inkdesk tell me the legal age in my state?
No. Age rules are studio settings. You are responsible for local law. The product only enforces the 18+ safety block on intimate and nipple piercings.
