Turn the flag on
Piercing is off by default. In Settings → Piercing, enable piercing for this shop. That seeds the piercing-type catalog and Piercing Aftercare sequences. Existing tattoo flows stay as they are.
Staff sign in with Google — shop tenant scoped.
Tag practitioners with tattoo, piercing, or both on the artist profile. Booking, availability, and the day board filter by the discipline of the requested service.
Catalog, jewelry, and checkout
Enable and price piercing types by body region. Attach jewelry (style, material, gauge, size) to the booking. Checkout is two-part: service fee + jewelry. Deposits default to $0 (pay at service) and are configurable.
Optional stock tracking decrements quantity on sale when you turn that setting on. Full retail POS / barcodes are out of scope.
Minors and safety
Eligible minor piercings require guardian name, contact, e-signature, and ID photos for the guardian and the minor. Those files live on the consent record (RLS), not on public JSON.
Nipple and intimate piercings are 18+ in code — no guardian override. Intimate types are salon opt-in and never appear on marketing pages. Age thresholds are salon policy; Inkdesk does not hardcode state statutes. Your studio is responsible for local law.
