When to use waitlist

A confirmed or held session drops (cancel inside policy, no-show, artist gap). Instead of leaving dead air, offer the opening to clients who opted into waitlist for that artist or time band.

How to run it day-of

Watch Today / the day board for gaps. Trigger or send waitlist offers according to your shop process. When someone accepts, get them through deposit rules if the slot still requires a hold.

Keep Instagram DMs out of the critical path—the offer should point at a real booking action, not a vague “you free at 2?” thread.

Pair with deposits and reminders

Waitlist works best when deposits already reduced casual holds and reminders reduced forgetfulness. See deposits and online booking docs if those are not live yet.
